Right there in Dover
plenty car parking - which is safe
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

We stayed on the road overlooking the seafront and it was very noisy - mainly drunks walking past shouting and singing
SWMBO still gives me grief about it as it was my idea Laughing

Have a look at here http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/pubs/faversham/white-horse-inn

This was my local and is on the A2 direct to the docks. Less than 30 minutes away. Great food and drink. Good rooms and there is a D1 owner who is a regular too.

Ant.

I assume you are talking about a stopover with the tintent, or camping?

I've used a place called Little Satmar - about 1/2mile off A2 - 10 mins into Dover. You can arrive late and leave early. In past years you just left your payment in an envelope and posted it through the door.

We always use the CC site at Blackhorse Farm - good facilities, clean and special area for late and early arrivals and departures.

We have used:

Not brilliant but it did the job and safer than parking on the seafront!

If you are a Caravan Club member......

I've used CL site in Singledge Lane (just off the A2) - 6 miles from the dock. Easy access with its own gate so make entry / exit less of a problem for those already on site.

NewSole cottage - £5 per night Very Happy

Postcode: CT15 5AF GPS co-ordinates: Lat: 51.1723 Lon: 1.26595 OS ref: 179:TR285460

Directions
Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not Sat Nav, due to unsuitable roads for towing: Turn left off the A2 (Canterbury - Dover) dual carriageway immediately before Whitfield roundabout (signposted Ramada Hotel, Singledge). Site is on the left in about 1 mile (0.5 mile past Longfield Farm Caravan Park CL and opposite water tower); call at cottage in 150 yards.

Still a chance you'll get the inconsiderate morons at some unearthly hour though I'm afraid.

I would not use there to stay over. There have been loads of issues there, thefts etc and recently a death. May be a quick stop but no sleep there

^ Thanks for that I will not use it again. We were fine very quiet and right under the security cameras. Not worth a risk having read what you posted though. Thumbs Up

Its only the last six months or so that it has been on the local news several times. I believe the death was down to an immigrant falling from a lorry axle and getting run over. I think most of the trouble is around the immigrants who come in on the lorries and this is one of the first places they stop and have the option to get off
