Ouch.....Thats not going to be a cheap repair, most of the airbags have been deployed, theres a lot of work involved just replacing them, good to see considering the damage the cabin has stayed intact protecting the occupants.... If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

But it is a bit bent - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Damaged-2009-LAND-RO...508wt_1139
Something looks very odd. The badge on the back says "S" but LR haven't sold "S" spec in the UK for a while, especially with cloth trim.
Someone with a bit of know how could probably fix this up and get a bargain.

Its on eBay twice
eBay Item No. 190531930017 £10500 starting price in auction.
and
eBay Item No. 190540135054 £8500 buy it now.
Strange that a "S" variant has a "59" plate. I thought that by then the "S" was superceeded by the "XS"

Its scary that something like this could be repaired and sold on.
Someone should do the decent thing, strip out the usable stuff and then attack it with a disc cutter. Member of the carrot crank club

Depends if the chassis is straight
Question to ask is "has the chassis been accurately checked" It really needs a jig to do this.
If it is then the rest looks straightforward (but expensive) bodyshop work.
A potential buyer would find out it was a repaired Cat C if they do an HPI (type) check.
Worrying thing is "Category C although possibly unrecorded". If its unrecorded then it would not show up in an HPI check.
When a vehicle is Cat C insurance "write off'" its not so much the severity of the damage but the economics of repairing it that are taken into account in deciding to "write it off".
Cat A and Cat B "write off's" are so bad that they should never be repaired.
A good number of years ago I had a head on with a Dutch driver in my D1. (He was on HIS (Dutch) side of the road).
My insurance company decided to write it off as the repair cost was about 80% of the Glasses guide price.
Everybody agreed it was perfectly safe to repair chassis was straight. Front inner and outer wings and front pannel were wrecked.
It does not take a lot of damage repair work to get to the 80% of "Glasses" guide price.
Eventually I bought it back off the insurance company and put it back on the road for another 8 years.
When I sold it I showed the buyer pictures of the damage. Its still going strong.
