Ouch...
Well after many years of ownership it looks like the D3 might be heading away on the back of a recovery truck.
The car was hit by a truck when stationary waiting to turn left at a roundabout by an Artic who came up the outside to turn right.
The Artics crash bar before the rear wheels hit the offside wheel which is about 20 degrees off where it should be now as it has damaged the rear Arms and other parts of the truck have dragged on the side of the car putting some hefty gouges in the rear quarter.
Its a shame as its just coming up to 195,000 and was running as sweet as a nut!
Fortunately everyone was OK - including the dog!

Oh mate I’m really sorry to hear that
Indeed so pleased that u and the dogs were ok , bet they also got a huge fright
Suppose you’ve now got to go through the nightmare of insurance , fingers crossed they don’t mess u around or offer an insulting offer

That's a shame. The appalling standard of driving these days, I'm surprised there are not more accidents. I was nearly taken out by a 12 year old driving a John Deere at speed on Friday!Richard

Yes lots or annoying things about this, fortunately SWMBO and Stan are OK although both are suffering since, Mrs D doesn’t want to drive as it’s really knocked her confidence and the dog gets panicky as we are driving along now in the D4 - the dog box was moved straight after the accident into the D4 and I’m sure he is waiting for the next thing to happen!
The truck driver was blaming her for the accident even though she was stationary at the time and he came around her in the right hand lane!
Let’s see what the insurance company do about it, I’m regretting that when I renewed I removed the hire car section of the policy as the D3 as it doesn’t get used much.
Another odd thing is that if you have a no fault accident with a truck or bus on a roundabout or the approach to one the company who provide the loan cars via Admiral won’t offer you a car!Must stop buying shiny toys....
