Osram replacement front FOG Lamps with DRL kit

Nice bit of kit just launched by Osram, price is as good as I can get at £190 inclusive - Due into stock soon...

Fits Discovery, Freelander 2, Sport and many other cars

This new addition provides an LED Fog Light with an even light output;
the unit uses light guide technology for the DRL function and also incorporates assisted cornering (activated when indicating)
This standard sized FOG DRL fixture has been designed to replace most modern halogen fog lamps and is the first on the market to incorporate assisted cornering. The FOG DRL creates a wide beam angle providing an increased vision on the road ahead in poor weather conditions.
When the FOG lights are not in use the DRL function is activated enabling drivers to be seen by other road users more easily.

D4 has the same size lamp as the others so I don't see why not.

Are the actual LEDs replaceable on burnout or are the units sealed?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

good price as the

OEM ones from LR are ridiculous price...
may fit these as an alternative to spoiling the front end of my beloved D3
 BREXIT - done properly.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Sealed hence the 5 year warranty, which is more than you get on the D4 rear lights, I expect someone with more talent than me could repair one if need be though.

Good news. The sealing on the standard lamps is dire for an offroad vehicle so this is a definite plus

Look good, tempted Thumbs Up
Not a fan of fog lights as cornering lights normally as they just look like someones got their fogs on but only one is working, though wiring into the Disco cornering lights instead of the indicators would be good

Just saw the comment on Freel2 about the fog lights being really bright - suggests they would reflect off the fog too much so maybe they would need toning down a bit Confused
