Osram (Again!) NEW Nightbreaker 110% Unlimited
Just in today....
Latest version of the Osram Night Breaker.
This time it's called the Unlimited and is sold with the following statements-
Up to 110% more light on the road for fatigue-free and comfortable driving
Up to 40m longer light beam for better visibility and significantly longer reaction times
Up to 20% whiter light thanks to partial cobalt coating of the glass body
Vast majority of reactions to the outgoing bulb (the +90%) are favourable so this should meet expectations.
We have H7, H4 & H11
We also have the new Silverstar + 30% HID
Nightbreaker 90s are now while stocks last, the HB3 (used in projector Freelanders and others) will not be replaced for some time as Osram are holding back stocks until the 90s are sold.
Use discount code disco315 and a pair work out at £14
Haven't installed the Osram night breakers yet so don't know how close the colour match will be...

Ok so, just to clarify......
The low beam bulbs are H11's while the high beams are H7's if the headlamp units are "Halogen Projector" units, whereas, if they are regular halogen units, both bulbs are H7's, is that right ?
Which goes on to beg the question, before I go place an order, how can I be sure I have "Halogen Projector" headlamps ?

Am away at the moment, so will dig out the VIN when I get back.
However, in the meantime if it helps, my headlamp units have the same "Fish Bowl" as Xenons, as compared to say a standard halogen unit, where you can plainly see the bulb & reflector.

The rain finally stopped, so I popped out to have a look to see what details I could get on the headlamps fitted to the D4.
Turns out, they are H7/H7 for both high & low beams, but do look to me at least as they are "projector" units, as they have the fish bowl, just like Xenon's.
So while it looks like I just answered my own question, as to which bulbs I will need, it doesn't quite work with the spec ...........

I thought all D4 halogens were projectors?
I think mine are too, and they use H7's for both high and low beam.

Yeah I really think mine are projector units & from the sticker, they take H7's for both beams.
But I'll wait for Steve to confirm, as he did quote H11's fro low beam if projector units. So best check before ordering
