So, the Euro 6 thing is not the reason.
I would suspect that they have budgeted for the sale to fall within July and there will be plenty of financial reasons why it might cost them dear to delay the sale from July to September. Maybe they are relying on a bonus from Land Rover for hitting a target for registrations within a particular month or quarter, or maybe they simply need to be paid in order to meet their own financial commitments.
If delaying collection to September for the new registration is over and above your original agreement with them, I'd cut them a little slack and see if there's a compromise to be reached 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

I'm waiting on an answer from mine. Also asked if they don't mind a professional coming to prepare it for me.. (quite rude I know).

Well mine's getting built this week and hopefully ready for 8 Jul. Couldn't wait, plus I have a buyer lined up for my RRS so decided just to go for it. Can't wait. Also looking forward to seeing the new wheel design, hope I like it.

Mine's still at the factory for 'quality assurance'. Which I'm guessing means one of three things: 1. The dealer hasn't got a clue and has just fobbed me off. 2. It's been damaged or something and needs to be fixed. Or 3. Just a random quality assurance check.
I hope it's the latter I'm just so suspicious of dealers.

Just had an update on my HSE. Ordered early May and dealer said he might get it near the end of June.
Ha ha I thinks he must keep flying pigs as pets.
First update was it would be a September build and now it's a late September build. Might get it this year.
I wasn't in a hurry but seems to be stretching it a bit.
Just as well I hadn't sold my present one. marmimas teal, tinted windows, heated steering wheel, electric leather seats, bi-xeon lights with LEDs, locking rear diff, rear camera, tow pack and twin electrics and only 32000miles. New MOT, general grabbers, two good and two requiring replacing soon.
Keep an eye on here as might put it up for sale in the for sale section.
dealer serviced from new as well. Discovery 4 HSE Montalcino Red
locking rear diff
tow pack
privacy glass
Discovery 4 XS Marmiaris teal gone.
