After fitting a new battery yesterday and then trying to reset the BMS I kept getting this error. Can anyone help please?

Do you have one or two batteries on your D4?

Try disconnecting the battery, wait, reconnect, then try again

Thank you.

We have two batteries (the usual stop/start arrangement), and I’ll give the disconnect/reconnect/retry a go.

You may need to replace the other battery as well

Yes, I was wondering about that. I’m away at the moment, so will look when we get home.

I tried again - disconnected the battery etc., etc., and re-tried. Still got the same message.

I have now just replaced the auxiliary battery too and again tried to do the re-set, but again am getting the same message. The main battery was disconnected first (after letting the car go to sleep etc) before replacing the auxiliary one. Any ideas please?

My mistake!! Of course it helps if you update the IID tool with the latest firmware!! All sorted.

I'm sure that I'm not the only plonker, but I've put my head up above the parapet! Whistle
