Firstly, thank you to Dom Harvey for recommending I speak with Ben Darch at Westover Ben has been very helpful these last couple of days so I will be nipping in tomorrow to testdrive an 06 plate TDV6SE Auto in Cairns Blue/Alpaca, complete with PTI, front and rear light guards and sidesteps. I'll probably remove the latter if I do the deal, or may see if I can persuade Westover to swap these for a tow bar and electrics.
If it all stacks up I shall be confirming with Ben on Monday or Tuesday in a call from the Alps and picking it up in the first few days of Feb.
The corners of my mouth keep twitching and shifting towards my ears......I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
I'll be speaking with the dealer in the week to firm up on price as Ben, the salesman I have been dealing with, was off today. We've already agreed a provisional figure, it's just a case of tweaking a couple of points and maybe swapping the sidesteps for fitted tow electrics and a tow bar.
Due to the number plate the consensus amongst the Doshes (well, Mrs Dosh and Litle Miss Dosh) is that it shall be called "WedgeHog" or "Wedgie" for short. Gutted, as I wanted to call it Dave.....
All things going to plan I should pick it up around the 3rd of Feb. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Sorry Bodsy.....
If it's any consolation, I gave up on the idea of an active rear diff to get one quicker.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

No problem. I gave up on the rear locking diff when I found out it had rolled off the production line that morning...
