Having read my eyeballs away in the weeks prior to making my purchase, I came across some funny editorial (marketing?) comments about the D3--I actually borrowed the Forbes´comment (below) when the dealer tried to push me into a RRS....
"... in the rough it can show everything but a mountain goat the way home."
(Sunday Herald)
"We say, enjoy your friend's Range Rover Sport, because it does offer plenty of fun when borrowed for testing. But realize that the LR3 is a much better value...".
(Forbes)
"... with spec levels matched, why would anyone buy a Range Rover that's even slower, more cramped, less practical and £11,000 more expensive? Sure, the Rangie's interior is far nicer, but the Disco is clearly a better drive...".
(TestDriven)
"Its "terrain response system" allows you to prepare for five types of surface: "grass", "snow", "mud", "sand" and "double-parked behind Selfridges" (only kidding, the last is "rocks")."
(Motoring)
"If only the thing wasn't so obese it would be easy to love."
(drive.com.au)
Martin: May I suggest a banner-type-thing on the RRS.co.uk site with these comments rolling endlessly with a sizable ?
Cheers, JL Martin
