One corner won’t calibrate (EAS)

Hi all, just swapped out my front valve block and decided that now it’s holding air I’d stand a better chance of recalibrating the suspension accurately.

Wrong.

My NSF corner (the first corner on guided calibration, new and up to date GAP IID BT) won’t move in the calibration routine. It also won’t move in the manual calibration page. It does however move perfectly fine with the physical switch, the valve test page and the height control page.
Tried it in tight tolerance and normal modes in case there was a bug there but no joy. Just won’t move in calibration modes!

Anybody any ideas?

Cheers!

Hard reset might be worth a try

Make sure you haven’t reversed the lines serving each corner. Also confirm you’ve fitted the correct block (the rear block has the solenoids and lines reversed from the front). This can cause mischief with the corner height controls.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but have you tried holding down the arrows in the guided calibration? I'd mistakenly assumed that one click on the arrow would give one increment in the tool but it seems you have to hold it down.

Hello old thread,

Yes, your stating the obvious helped to an extent (at the point I tried the obvious) and could make the corner move, but it was painfully slow. I can’t remember which side of renewing the old valve block and swapping out, checking plumbing and my many, many days messing with the centre valve block after renewing the seals having plumbed that back in wrong (at least twice…) but I eventually got it working at the correct speed.

I decided then (on a nice, quiet day of listening intently to the car) that both front struts leaked, and I would replace them both/all after a few weekends of summer work (the best paying kind). All four struts have labels with dates of December 2004 so all are original and have had a good innings at 167,000 miles.

I’ve done one good weekends work, now I’m down with COVID, missing the next couple Censored so it’s taken a small delay, but I’ll get there. I’ve got them all saved in a basket (all BWI which I believe is the recommended) along with fresh nyloks etc.

Just need to be able to lift my arms again now…
