OMG Warranty Direct Renewal
Hello,
I have just renewed my WD cover and am very happy with what they have covered.
Over the last year I have had almost £3000 worth of parts and labour from WD for £700 of SecureCare cover.
I didn't think that I would get covered after this.... However, today I have agreed:
My Mileage: 108,500
Age: 2007
Cover: SecureCare (does not include suspension or AV - I have already have this done this year under ExtraCover)
Excess: £0
Betterment: Removed
Wear & Tear: Included from the start (not after 3 month)
Mileage: 12k miles a year
Duration: 2 yrs cover
Price: £965 (for 2 yrs)
I think this is very good. It works out as £40 a month.
Even if I do not claim for the next two years I will be £1000 better from this years cover (in which I have saved £2250)
Very much recommend!

having just returned to D4 ownership after a break of 2 years i was most keen to get a warranty on my older D4.
2009 - 59 reg D4 with 98k miles and full history
I got the SecureCare for 15 months, with Extra Care upgrade for AC, Suspension,Multimedia and AV included. 100% parts included, wear and tear after 91 days. £50 excess and, Specialist rates, £72per hour inc VAT.
For £800 all in, which is £53 per month.
Hope to get a better deal at renewal time, but year one of ownership in my experience is always the scariest, so peace of mind for now. I negotiated as hard as I could, even called back to cancel but they weren't budging.

Glad i took my Warranty out , Just has brand new compressor (£850 quoted) and the relay done Parts and Labour all paid by WD ,cant knock them they signed it off at the stealers request having been shown the diagnostics.
Fair play to WD and big props to this forum for the advice a few months back.
They won't offer it up front, but if you ask them they will do 30k miles per year for no extra charge

Took this out last August when the Approved Used warranty expired.
I've already had more refunded than the policy cost for the year. How, though, when the renewal comes through, do I get rid of the betterment clause?

Just spoken to WD and renewed the policy for a further year. £750 all in (76k miles, 7 year old car), with betterment removed.
Pretty pleased - they even bumped up the mileage to 24k to ensure that I don't exceed the annual limit.
And last year, I got more back from them than I paid out.
