Extremely unlikely, and given the £ value of the car, the cover provided (potentially up to the cars value) would not justify the potential premium cost.
Maybe put a few quid away each month or consider the AA Breakdown Warranty - if it breaks down and the AA come out to rescue, cant be fixed at roadside and needs to be garage repaired, AA will pay up to £500 per instance for 6 instances pa. I used it once, absolutely no quibble - I guess other Breakdown providers do something similar. Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

Look at RAC too - I seem to remember them offering £750 at one point.

I was also going to suggest MotorEasy as I got impression not as strict on acceptance as WD, but got impression they oversell and would under deliver (though I never claimed) Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.
