Old rear prop shaft. Is it worth keeping?

I changed my rear propshaft a couple of months ago. Centre Bearing and rear UJ gone.
Is it worth keeping? Does anyone overhaul them?

OK, as much as I hate throwing things away, it's going in the scrap bin. Thumbs Up

I just called Bailey Morris Ltd, what a thoroughly helpful company.

I asked about the overhaul and repair of my old prop, and the answers were very fair, and honest.

The deal is, you send your prop shaft in, they assess it, and then contact you with a price to overhaul it, or to supply a new if yours is too far gone.

If you choose to overhaul, they will do the work in 2-3 days, and send the prop back to you by TNT.

Sounds fair to me. I might try it, and get mine done to see how it compares to the cost of a new one.

United States

I'm in the states, but I got ~$10 for it from a metal recycler (I was already dropping off a bunch of other metal things.
