Del, I bought one of those off bigbill110 as a full size spare for mine - I got the impression he had more of them? May be worth a PM?D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Many thanks to Airielmark for jinxing my hols with his "awaiting recovery" quip.
Spent about an hour and a half in "restricted performance" mode early this afternoon. I'd just used manual pre-heat, tried to fix a drl swmbo had noticed not lit, then driven up a steep slope in low box... lifting front nearside wheel as we turned a corner, causing brakes to stop that wheel I think... Then dash told me I had issues. No choice but drive for next 30 mins then stopped, waited 2 mins... Still got problems.
Engine running too smoothly, in my mind, for it to be serious. Got back to the holiday apartment and dismantled obd protection, plugged in iiD tool and ... Flipping no longer in restricted mode. Opened windows amf assumed tjat special yoga position where phone gets Internet AND connectivity to iiD. Only faults ate old except fbh related one. Cleated them all, rechecked... No faults.
Sent swmbo shopping for the afternoon... Obviously she hated that (NOT)... And i went out putting the D4 through its paces. No issues aside from picking a country road with no passing places for nearly 2 miles. A walker had to run 400 yds thinking i was going to kill him... I did actually stop and point out i would've waited
Anyway, i think it's sorted now but suspect underlying problem is the battery is on it's way out. So suspect the Halfords Trade Card is going to see some action next week .
