oily marks on window glass
just noticed this - not sure what's caused it or therefore how to remove it.
Glass isn't porous so presume it's on the surface and I can some how clean it off?
Could it be a metals reaction from the awning mounts above, then the water dripping down?
Thoughts on solutions please - many thanks

Polish will get that off - not wax - just decent polish.
Use a damp cloth and a dab of polish - light circular motion (across the whole pane really) and it should be fine.
I have just machined polished all the glass on my D4 with Meguairs polish - the difference is amazing. Especially the rear black glass panels (I have blacked out rear glass as it is a Commercial which looks similar to yours). I had streaks similar to yours but not as pronounced.
Very low rpm and very light pressure for 30 seconds if you have an orbital polisher.
That's assuming it is on the outside and not in the film on the inside

Perfect!
Thank you.
Something like T cut? Or an actual polish?

Good evening,
Just some decent polish. It has a 'filler' in it which acts as a very very mild abrasive. Autoglym would be fine or Meguiars would be just dandy.
And an application pad (small sponge) exercising light circular motions up and down the stripe. Very lightly dampen the sponge before you apply the polish - makes it go further and acts as a lubricant.
Stay away from T-Cut....... period. There are far better things to use than that stuff
There are other products to turn to if the polish does not work.

Good morning,
That's a nice machine but seriously if all you are going to tackle is those glass marks then just a bit of elbow grease and 20 minutes per side should see it sorted.
There is a definite art to using such machines, for instance, if you are polishing glass then you need to tape-off the edges so the machine does not 'catch' the surrounding paintwork. All these little tricks of the trade so to speak make sure you do not fix one issue and create two more.
Try the hand method first "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Barman’s Friend for the glass, it will make it squeaky clean It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
