Oily Liquid in passenger footwell
First I have ran the front sunroof drains, can't find the rear drains to run, but no moisture on headliner near back or front of SR. US Model LHD.
I am getting a clear liquid in the passenger foot well, just enough to puddle under and on the wiring harness. Its not bad enough to puddle in the floor like the AC drain issue I had.
At first glance this looks to be water, however I had a blow dryer on a small portion of this, what I couldn't get with the shop vac, and it wouldn't dry up like water would. I got some on a cut of my hand and it burned like acid. Not full on battery acid, but it burned the cut. I tasted a little on my tongue and it had a very metallic taste.
So I checked the coolant levels, topped off, the coolant weeks ago and there is zero level change.
There is no color to this as I have placed on white paper and it is clear. It feels oily to the touch and I can't tell if it comes in from the front passenger or down the middle, or down from the back of the through that runs along the passenger side.
AC is working fine, heat is working fine, I am at a loss.

It will be water, the channels hold a lot.
i used a vacuum to suck mine out and after a few seconds it was back again had to vacuum it for a good ten minutes to get it out.

Thx for the replys
Cowl, I temp. sealed the cowl/windshield area with duct tape, the 500 mph Gorilla duct tape, also hosed the s*** out of it, no leaks.
SR Drains-As I had good sight of the passenger foot-well with carpet pulled back poured copious amounts of water down both drains and no leaks.
I've hit every potential leak area I have read about and nothing leaks.
If it were coolant then I would thin heater core on truck, but its not coolant.
The only other avenue I can think of is that I have a broken Right Rack End cap from running wires for an LED light. I have hit that with a good hose stream and got nothing but now I am wondering if it ran down the roof molding and down the A-pillar?
I am going to fill what I can with Silicone and make a make shift end cap to see if that is what is going on.
I replaced the clips on the A-pillar, but didn't place the "silicone" patches because I didn't know what they were actually for, but have them in the glove box so possibly a tear down of that again?
Guess I should just get a new kit with the trim also, if I can trace to to that.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

UPDATE
OK so I think I solved the mystery of the fluid:
1. it is part water
2. it is mixed with some spills desiccant that was out of a container of desiccant I purchased after cleaning up the water from the Floor board, pass side when the AC drains over flowed.
3. Source not yet confirmed but I am 98% sure that the water, came in at the point where I shortened the gutter cover trim of the roof to fit wires for the LED light bar. When this first was fitted the shorter cut that tucks under the roof rail end cap was covered with the end cap. Now that the end cap has broken at the end of the roof rail the water was sneaking under the gutter cover and coming in under the a pillar and then into the floor.
I hope, this is the current theory, and I have injected silicon into the end of the gutter cover and filled the end cap with said silicone, injected. I also placed a brick on top of the end cap to pressurize the cap onto the rail-end/roof gutter cover trim thingy.

Just make sure you remove the brick before driving off
My son's mate put his mobile phone on my disco's roof "to keep it safe" ... but never mentioned it to anyone. I retraced my route later but never found it. Kids, eh ?.

yeap
Funniest thing about your post is I was leaving to go out of town for work, and I didn't remove it until I saw it as I walked to make the final leave, so if I had not parked the truck back end first I might have missed it.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic
