Works well, but make sure the oil is hot before trying to pump out. Not sure if it gets every drop out of the sump, but not far offWhen you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

I got a large mityvac for christmas. Looking to use it for my transmission fluid change, then the engines on my cars after that. They get great reviews and save on time and mess - I hope...!

Mityvac all the way, had mine for over a decade been used hundreds of times.
Regardless of make, the oil needs to be hot otherwise you will be there all day!
Use the largest pipe that will fit down the dipstick tube, to small will still work but take an eternity.

So i got the car nice and hot after a run out then let it cool for 20 mins, dipstick out and filler cap off and pushed the tube down and pumped it up and out came the oil, took 25 minutes to empty and I got 5.5 litres out, happy with that because when I did it last I put 5.7 in exactly, new oil and filter in, 40 minutes in total from start to finish, may not be to everyone’s taste but to me it’s a no brainier, no messing about with ramps and dropping plates of.
