Oil level not available

Ok thanks...maybe I need a new watch? I thought it had been off at least 20mins.

If it's been a short trip, it won't show up (it doesn't on mine anwyway).
My weekly shopping run usually gets it up to temperature, and lets me park on the level. Then when I return to the car, I can take a reading.

That's a good idea. I can bail out of the weekly Tesco trudge by telling the wife "it's time to check the oil"

Open the bonnet, get in the car close the door, go in to service menu, oil level, and if its not displayed press the cancel button for the cruise control this will then bring up the level, this is how its done in the workshop after change.

Is this supposed to work even within the 10 min window after the engine has been switched off?
I've tried that sequence - however no oil level shown even after cancel button pressed.
Only appears after the cca 10 minutes have passed.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
