What are you guys using on your V8 4.4's?
I usually use Mann or genuine LR oil filters on my D3.

Genuine for me.
Did the first change at 5500miles (unknown oil quality by selling garage) and second at 6500miles.
Even at 6500miles the oil quality/colour was still good with the Castrol Magnatec So I may just revert back to 7500miles between changes.

since we have 3 Land Rovers in three different places we alternate them. I have a D3 in NYC, my girls D3 in Los Angeles, and our D2 in Puerto Rico. All V8's
My NYC D3 gets driven the most I change the oil every 6 to 7.5 months.

I’ve used the following from Mann, https://tinyurl.com/y9kgf8dg (tinyurled). I change every 10000 km. While you did not ask, I use the FP2747 cabin filter.
Have a new filter and sump plug waiting, change again in a few weeks. Oil is Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF 5W-30.

I use castrol magnatec 5w40 c3. It gets changed yearly at 3-4k and looks new on the way out.
Mines on 147k miles and still uses no oil between changed. 05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

Mine doesn’t leave traces after it, either. Last summer I thought it did but it was only water from the AC underneath

Not sure why I use Shell, it happens to be in stock at the place where I change the oil. They have other stuff, too, but that isn’t the cheapest nor is it the most expensive brand or blend. I don’t have an opinion on oil beyond “seems to work”.
