Surely the whole point of keyless entry systems is that you do not need to keep fishing the key out of your pocket / faraday pouch in order to open and start you car?

Although they would probably survive a 40 degree wash, it's probably not practical to sew a biscuit tin into your favourite Barbour Laughing

However, it's also not convenient to check that no-one with ~40 metres has the necessary kit to clone your key's signal.

Would be a lot easier just to switch the keyless malarkie off. You can easily do it on some D4’s, but not all. Worth doing the unlock 3 times then lights trick. At least that’s what I vaguely remember. Whistle

I remember when Land Rovers did not have any locks on doors at all. Some did not even have doors!

And the D4 heating issues could be a throwback to when LRs didn’t have any heaters. Whistle Whistle

Johnny . Was this email in relation to your D4 or some other Landrover you have?
Thanks

Hi Gary, I'm going to guess it was in relation to a (dreadful) Discovery Sport which I foolishly bought after trading in my D3 - it was a 2016 car. 6 months later I sold it and bought my current 2014 D4 - all from main dealer network.

If you all had a 2018MY> D5 \ RRS \ FFRR or 2020-1MY rest of the range you would be relatively OK as they have ultra-wide-band radio technology.

I say relatively because most cars I've seen on the roads have windows Whistle

LR could start to repair their image if they offered to switch the keyless option off free of charge, now they accept there is an issue.

I have tried all suggestions to turn mine off without any luck.
