Which button are you pressing to acces it? You should be pressing one of the hard buttons in front of the screen. (cant remember which one)

Gareth
Im pressing the right hand button on the screen surround
Navigation,4x4 info & settings icons all show but Off road Nav icon is not there

Does this sound like a hardware problem or should i try reloading the dvd?

It sounds like you haven't got premium nav Confused

I do not know how this is possible, are absolutely sure you had the button previously? does your voice command system still work? try the voice command "Navigation Off Road Mode" and see what she says.

On mine, with the nav screen on, not routing, just showing map, then press the left hand hard button this then shows a screen with two screen buttons, On-road Nav at the top and Off-road nav at the bottom. Hpoe this helps Smile

I thought you double-tapped the screen to get back to the on/off road selection.

Just tried double tapping the screen on mine and it just comes up with menu buttons on the bottom of the screen, but pressing the hard button on the left, the 'Nav' button, brings up the choice of On-road or Off-road Nav

Left hand button should work. Although I've never found the off road nav to be of any real use (except giving lat and long and compass, but you can get that in normal nav and 4x4 info.

Does anyone actually use the 4x4 Nav screen to navigate? Mine doesn't have byways on it etc. so as far as I can see it' not much use.

it works
strange thing is I cannot activate compass view in 4x4 info screen now
i'm choosing firts to off road navigation, then switching to 4x4 info and when I choose compass view it says something like 'compass view not available'

When your in off road navigation ..there has to be a picture of a compass on there first ..if you have selected just the map view then it wont work .
