This doesn't have to be a Land Rover orientated day.
It's a 40th present for my brother.
Needs to be as "extreme" as anywhere will allow. He lives in the Lancaster area (so Cumbria would be ideal) but they will travel probably a couple of hours drive up or down the M6 for somewhere. He won't want to just drive on a bit of grass and splash through a puddle - probably want to try to drown himself in water and/or mud or hang near vertical up a climb and would be chuffed to little bits if he could get stuck somewhere and need dragging out Discovery3 - Silver - 2007 - side steps - privacy glass. First Discovery and loving it!
