Crasha, RLD had a similar thing last weekend, basically the combination of command shift and road tyres on very slippy stone & mud meant that he was accelerating down the slope Shocked As Gareth says, let the auto box do it's stuff and use HDC as necessary. We concluded that RLD would have been better in 2nd gear or full auto as the wheels did not achieve any grip due to the low gear ratio and the conditions, if he was in 2nd, the wheels would have been going 'fast' enough to achieve / maintain some grip and therefore control the decent

no mate - although wish I had!
Problems with the Disco3 / wife compatibility balancer Rolling Eyes thinking of an upgrade from wife v2.0 to girlfriend v2.6 - although the more than significant on-costs might blow that one out of the window Thud

No problem on the same slope in my manual Wink Only the first bit was very slippery and could not turn down slope... after that the D3 in Low 1st, HDC on went down completely serenely... no drama at all and no feet on pedals.

Will put it in my diary and talk Auto low box command shift until told otherwise !

Easy for me as I am in SW London.

cheers Andy
