OEM Spotlights
Hi All,
The lens on one of my spotlights has been damaged due to water ingress.
As I can't find a replacement part, I'm thinking about stripping out the insides and fitting some LED lights instead, as I want to keep the OEM look.
Has anyone attempted this and if so do you have any photos etc?
Thanks
Rob

Hey Rob, I've not retrofitted bulbs or LEDs into the OEM housings before. But I was wondering if you have any pictures of where the factory switch is for those optional lights? I would like to do something OEM looking for my lights, when I get around to deciding which I want.

Hi Kndrewa,
This is where the switch mounts, 🤔 it’ll be on the on-site side, as you drive on the wrong side of the road 😂.
The wiring diagram for the switch and a switch on eBay uk, but it has the part No.

Thank you for the photo and diagram, Simms! Now I've got another interest - how you've captured that other accessory wire visible in your photo with some kind of behind-panel loops. That looks pretty clean and easy to set up, if you'd want to share anything else about that I'd love to hear about it (in this thread, a pm, or a new thread related to whatever that extra wire is doing). Sorry the 2nd off topic inquiry. 3 strikes and I'll be out!?holo-andy

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply, work.
The cable you can see is for a tomtom satnav I use, it’s just clipped there out of the way.
Al the wiring and switch came with the spotlight kit, I just had to rout it in.
The lights are now fitted, but I now have to get the BCM programmed to be able to use them.
Hope this helps.

Sorry, I thought I had replied.
The switch in mine is an aftermarket one, hoping to change it soon though.

Cheers Rob and Simms!
Since my original post, my oem fog lamps have gone out. I'm not sure if it's wiring or bulb. Once I've sorted that (thinking of switching them amber and aftermarket) then I'll return to the spots. Thanks again!holo-andy
