Unplugged and everything seems to be working
Last ( for now ) ...the connector is for the transit relay ...what im concerned about is what is the wire on the + battery terminal ....its is in the same loom as the transit relay ..should it have been removed ?

The first connector looks like the same connector used for the keyless aerials (2 are under the carpet by the spare wheel winch cover).
Can't help with the 2nd I'm afraid.
The connector for the transit realy clips into a blank on the +ve lead that does to the BJB. You can see it between the +ve lead and battery breather in the first pic.
Not too sure what the wire on the +ve terminal is, but it appeared with the 3.0 engine (2.7 D4s don't have them). It also appeared with the 5.0 SC engine and the 4.4TDV8.
Hope this helps.

The fact it has a gromet on it suggests that it goes through a hole and to the outside of the car. Is there any blank spare groments within the rage of the cable? Is it possible it goes to the rear lights for some aadditional lights?MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
