OBD Recommendation
I am looking for a cheaper OBD device to use on my 2015 D4. I do not need the full capability of an iiD tool, I only need fairly basic operation to include the ability to reset the battery management system and reset keys etc. There are loads on Flee bay and Amazon. In particular I have seen recommended somewhere else on this site the Autel AP200 on Amazon for £75. They also do a cheaper one at £59.99. Any advice suggestions, on this or any other makes would be very much appreciated.

The 2020, (white), version of the AP200 has been replaced by 3 alternative, (red), versions.
Unfortunately these are being sold on a subscription model with an annual fee for the comparable M version of about £16 after the first year.
The 2020 version comes with a lifetime free subscription for cars from a chosen manufacturer and looks like it might offer a superior capability regarding ABS brakes.
autelstore.co.uk are currently still offering the original white version at £46 but will despatch from China, having run out of UK stock.
I would recommend trying to get a white version immediately.

Edit autelstore suggest that the white version cannot program keys but several members have recently reported programming their Discos for new keys and I suspect that the caution may only apply to some other manufacturers vehicles.

I’d deffinately recommend the white Autel, can do keys amongst other things and can be used across all vehicles within a manufacturer. Does the usual code finding / deletion and the below as part of its service menu
Prices seem to be climbing though, was £45-£60 now I can’t see one under £692008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Download the software (need to download 2 apps) to your phone, pair with Reader via bluetooth, select LandRover and it will read the codes for any LandRover as a free subscription

Cylinder balance offset
Are you able to tell me if the AP200 (white) can give the cylinder balance readings for the injectors?

See they also say that u must exit the program before removing , as I thought I’d it could have been left in situ but if I’m reading it right it can’t , no big deal, was just curious

Certainly getting very popular , See there quoting 2-3 days with the one I’ve just ordered , won’t hold my breath
A: To UK local address, normally take about 2-3 working days. to other European country will take about 5-7 working days, this all depends on the address is close or remote.

Also interesting as it looks like it can also do the brake bleed , plus haven’t heard that before about it putting the pads on and off for bedding in, alas maybe its just for the EPB section

Well my Autel ( white ) turned up tues which thought was quite good seeing I only ordered it 5 x days ago

Hopefully it will turn up in the next few days , know in the past when I’ve ordered bits from China it’s taken around 6-8 weeks
Also wonder if that ship that got stuck in the suez has caused a large knock on effect with deliveries
Always annoying when they don’t reply after submitting a help ticket ,maybe they got more than average messages because of the bank holiday etc and haven’t seen urs yet
Wonder if u can cancel it and order one from the link above , still only £45.00

Also didn’t realise they sell the red AP200 @ £38.00 , but from reading the title its a simplified version of the white ap200
