Now stocking Original Hitachi & AMK Compressors
We have offered Genuine Land Rover AMK Compressors before and still do, but we have now managed to get hold of Original Hitachi & AMK Units outside of the Dealer network, Same thing different box, at considerable savings over dealer prices.
We also carry a range of Compressor nuts bolts and captive nuts for mounting them, along with pipe fittings cases and brackets.

Hi Paul
What is the likelihood of spare parts becoming available for the AMK units?
Often both Hitachi and AMK are repairable but not easy to get the bits for AMK other than mounting components.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Good to know, My 2005 Disco is still on it's original Hitachi compressor but it won't last forever so I would happily buy Hitachi again. Stu

Compressor repair parts
Hi Profsr G
Highly unlikely for the AMK units, Hitachi stuff is available, but by my own experience, to try and service these units is a complex and difficult task, and often results in a new unit.
These Compressors are only the cost of a few fill ups, and personally i think trying to make them go longer than their natual life span is a false economy.
That was me talking without my company hat on btw Paul Redding

I have rebuilt many Hitachi and AMK units with no problems provided the unit was not overrunning due to pressure leaks. the AMK seems to be more robust in that regard.
I too have to wear the company hat Paul, as otherwise my customers are likely to throw it at me when I tell them the price of a new compressor yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

My AMK has been fitted since September 2012, covered nearly 200k miles, seen the wife through 2 pregnancies (using access height every time) and also a leaking air reservoir
If/when it fails, I'll gladly stick another AMK on it My D3 Build Thread

Dunlop AMK air pressure sensor fault - replacement sensor?
Hi, I just got "Only Normal Height Available" and when reading fault codes it turns out the air pressure sensor is faulty.
It is threaded so I should be able to replace it. I tried to buy it through my parts pusher (lrparts.net) but they tell me the air pressure sensor is not available as a replacement part.
I am sure it is a "standard" air pressure sensor from a renowned manufacturer and it (as opposed to the glued ones on the Hitachi). Does anyone know what manufacturer and/or part number for the sensor?
