One person mentioned the Disco was reluctant to start after...maybe same problem?
I guess that was me. I used EGR cleaning spray on the sensor and the car was very reluctant to start complete with a dash lit up like a christmas tree. I did the Disco3 owners trick #1 - left the car alone for 20 mins and tried again.
It's a pretty expensive part!

HDC fault, all special programs off. (displayed on screen).
Tried to accellerate and nothing. Suspension auto lowered and orange symbol same as parking brake symbol next to parking break / below water temp is illuminated.
I had the same symptoms a couple of times, a few days before my battery shorted and fried my alternator. Had to pull the plus off the battery to "reset" the car to get it started.

Great news....... This should warn everyone else not to spray any kind of cleaner into the sensor port in case they get similar problems........
