So are you saying that later this year this kit will work with the buttons on the steering wheel? I have the factory fit pti, but this sounds like a better job and will let me play the ipod side of the phone too.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Indeed it will, with the addition of an extra Parrot unit called a MulitCOMM. This interfaces to the resistive ladder network of the steering wheel controls. However this is only currently available for the CK3000 and CK3100 so we have to wait for the new unit to be released. Installation instructions can be found here (Jaguar X-type) http://www.parrot.com/documents/en/support...jaguar.pdf
For the person who asked for photos of my install here they are

Got mine fitted the other day to the van and worked for about 10 mins. The bluetooth part works fine, but the iphone integration is not reliable. Sometimes charges it, sometimes doesn't, iphone asks for flight mode, displays tracks on screen but no sound.....not pleased.
The fitter is getting in a replacement ecu for it to see if it'll work, but the issue may be the iphone as it screwed up his demo one in the showroom.
I hate it when technology does not work as designed
Going to head into the o2 shop and seek a replacement phone, as the LR ACM is no longer charging the phone in the D3 as it once did, so maybe the phone is truly at fault.

John, just make sure the switch next to the USB port is in the right position. Would be worth getting a paper clip to reset the acm too Bodsys Brake Bible
There's a firmware update, V1.10, just published today. Apply that and see if it makes a difference. The early firmwares are known to have issues with iPhone/Touch's but have been fixed with firmware updates. What version is yours on?

Just been out and flashed the update to it. No joy. Plugged in my ipod and works perfect. Looks like the connector on the iphone is at fault. Tried is again in the D3 and it plays okay on that...

The installer is still going to change the box for me next week when he gets them in.
