Sounds good and quite tempting.
But approx how much would it be [off season] for a return for a Disco with two up ?
And how long is the crossing?
Only asking in case you already know. ...... always on the road less travelled š§
< ātis but a mere scratch ā¦ā¦.. itāll polish out.

No idea on prices, I'm kinda hoping it'll be cheap at the start of the service to draw up interest.
It'll be about 24 hours for the crossing - we did Portsmouth to Santander last year, was a similar duration. I loved it as none of the family asked me to mend/fix/cook for that time!

Great news, save the drive through Holland, Germany and Denmark, done it 3 times now and it's just not a pleasant start to the holiday and even worse on the return journey.

So the Norwegians can design, build and operate a dual fuel ferry in 3-4 years and yet (thanks to the Scottish government) the "new" Arran ferry is now 9 years late and still not in service... I wonder which one will get into service first ? I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Hmmmmm, how to persuade Mrs DSL that summer 2026 could involve a little Scandinavian road trip.

That sounds good - I'd love to go back to Norway and this crossing does make getting there less of a chore.
My abiding memory of the last ferry was it being full of Norwegians mainlining cheap booze and fags and below decks smelling like somebody was gutting fish in a diesel tank. I'm sure this new one will be much better Darren

Not sure any of these would work, nor would I survive the attempt!
We were talking about a āsee how far east we could getā from Athens (after watching race across the world S1), for summer 26, sāpose Stockholm would count.
