Thinking of heading over that way for the bank holiday weekend. Any recommendations of camp sites ?

Try this, stayed here a few times, beautiful place close to the ranger path and more importantly, the pub! They allow open fires too and good facilities on site..

There is a good site at Hendwr Llandrillo Corwen LL21 0SN, caravans and campsite, not far from Bala.

Riverside just outside Caenarfon is a good site.

Tents / Caravans / Electric pitches available.
Childrens Play Area
Garden Centre with good (expensive though) cafe
3 minutes from Supermarket
5 minutes from town
2 minutes from a beltin' Curry House
15 minutes from Llanberris

Thumbs Up 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor (2004-2007)
2006 D3 - sadly missed (2007-2012)
2010 D4 - lovely colour Nara Bronze (2012-2018)
2016 D4 - best of the bunch (2018-2024)
2022 DiscoSport 45mpg, but its not a D4 (2024.......)
1997 Def 90 - softtop (2011.........)
