Normal operation?
Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I’ve heard the fbh running but no ‘smoke’ also a strong smell of diesel then today lots of smoke even from the unit itself, is it broken? Any ideas on the error below?

They do smoke and so it is part of the normal start up particularly if its the first time this season. However as the unit temperature rises the smoke should dissipate. Clear the code and keep an eye on it it may well sort itself out. Ambient temp needs to be below 6 deg C for the unit to start and engine temp below 73 deg C IIRC.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Cheers PROFSR G, I’d stopped and started a few times before the smoke so maybe I interrupted it doing it’s thing, I’ll keep an eye and see how things go
If it does this it may be worth getting it checked The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

I seem to remember my MY13 doing this a couple of years into ownership (from new) and Land Rover took it back and 'changed' the software? Something about stopping the diesel flow or feed if the ignition circuit fails to 'catch'.
Has never done it since - and it fired up lovely this morning 8)"Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Interesting guess it could’ve over fuelled then had an excess to burn off hence the extra smoke, I’ll see what I can find out ref the software

You can run it and test it with your Iid tool It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
