Noise coming from front of disco getting faster on accelerat



Heard a noise coming from front of discovery 3 when driving today getting faster upon acceleration got worse when cornering to the left had a look at drivers side front wheel noticed gator had split and had a metal clip hanging out of it or part of one !! Any advise would be appreciated .

Hi,

You need to get this fixed. Your CV joint is leaking grease due to that split gaiter and the noise is telling you its making it unhappy.

I this the CV joint totally failed you would be stuck at best, at worse it could cause and accident. Its a fairly basic car job as far as I know, not a Disco 3 horror story.

Im sure other members can provide more info re any Disco 3 specifics.
