no phone fitted - HELP

Hello everyone

I have a problem with a retro installation on my 2005 Disco3

I bought this the original kit VUB501151 complete with support for old phone nokia 6230i (phone mounted under cubby box)

I installed all the wiring as per manual by following all the steps correctly.

in the CCF I have enabled the voice "phone with bluetooth and docking" but it does not work as I would like

in the car radio, if press the button appears "no phone Fitted" and I can not use the old Nokia under the armrest

instead the bluetooth works with my iphone X. in fact I can connect my iphone and make and receive calls, when I use iphone in the display of the radio appears the writing "phone mode"

I do not understand why I can not use the radio controls like this video!

Its a long time ago when I had one fitted but I think there was another module for docking, the one you have is I think bluetooth only . I stand being corrected

I believe the aftermarket kit you have is no better than an aftermarket parrot kit, so you don't get any of the functionality in that video.

As I said in the other thread, if you want that, I believe you need to fit the Discovery 4 bluetooth module. (which is alot easier).

After fitting the VUB501151 kit ( and a Bluetooth module ) you do not have to change any CCF files .

None of the featured shown in that video work as the video is for the factory kit not the aftermarket LR phone kit ( it’s very very basic ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

You have brought an aftermarket landrover kit ...

This wasn’t what was fitted at the factory .. they are 2 different things

The video refers to you retro fitting the factory kit .. like this

Just to make it clear, VUB501151 was supplied by Land Rover as a accessory kit to fit to a D3 that was not fitted with the phone kit when supplied new , and as previously mentioned it does not have the functionality of the factory fitted kit and especially excludes the use of the docking station in the cubby box lid.

for use the docking station in the cubby box what should I do ?

the docking stations under the cubby box is connected to the VUB501151


I would lik:
1) use bluetooth with my iphone x and this is ok (voice commands also work perect)
2) use docking whit old nokia 623i
3) access the radio phone controls
