This has happened three times now so I don't think I'm imagining it. Each time I've started up and driven some distance slowly only getting up into second gear (high range) as I've been off-road or in heavy traffic. All ticks along fine until I try to accelerate and there is then a distinct lack of power with the revs not going above 2k. No warnings, no lights, no messages. Stop engine and immediately restart and dash startup lights look normal and engine starts and runs great. Only does it once on each occasion and these are about four to five weeks appart - so around 500 miles of great running in between.

Bunged up fuel filter (normal or in tank), EGRs, Fooked turbo, take yer pick!
No coloured lights, no messages to alert of any issues. Fault codes read since third occurance are P2199, P0336, P0578. Now cleared, so I'll look again should it occur for the fourth time.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. ISTR P2199 is fuel starvation, from dim & distant memory that's often faulty.
I just looked at the codes and P2199 is a communication system error. The codes had not been cleared for months as nothing had been going wrong so these could all be red herrings.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. If I apply logic the car does not think there is anything wrong so you don't get faults which leaves lack of fuel.
But once its happened you would expect it to keep doing it as fuel filters don't clean themselves so that could point to the low pressure pump in the tank.
From what I could find on the codes,
P0578.Cruise Control Multi-Function Input A Circuit Stuck
P0336,Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
I'll see what code pops up the next time - or if these 3 codes appear again without the fault.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
