"New" type wiper blades
The RRS boyohs have been debating new compound LR wiper blades that seem to be a lot quieter http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic4701-75.html . Anybody know if these are suitable for D3s as my wipers are driving me to distraction with the noise:

As usual lots of references to boobies & puppies in their thread! Pic c/o MDP.
D3 has the same wiper as the RRS, well I presume so or I've been sold the wrong ones as I've got a set here with part no. DKC 500150 on them that I haven't got around to fitting yetThe End

Mine's been on the "new" ones (DKC 500150) for about 4 mths now. Didn't know they were any different.
Initially they were quieter, but now they're just as clunky as ever.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

I've just had a look at blades on my car, they were swapped under warranty few months back and were initially quieter, the driver's blade is now juddering at the top right of the sweep. They have a number stamped on the blade (was told that is how you identify the newer blades) so may be the newer type, number far too small to read! Mrs DSL's car has also had its blades replaced about July last year (no number stamped on the blade), after 7000 miles one blade is juddering on the whole return sweep of the cycle. Was the driver’s side & swapped it to the passenger side, now it happily judders there.
Exactly what I was thinking, give 'em a twistThe End

Had to take my 06 D3 to the stealers today ... the hopeless gets had not reset the service indicator ater the first service in January.
At the time of that service I complained about the juddering wipers, but they said there was nothing they could do whilst LR worked on a fix . Today they installed new wipers ....... QUIET wipers !!!
Form an orderly queue for replacements .....

I've never had an issue to be honest with me blades... apart form the rear arm not sitting correctly with dirt build up. Which was fixed with a new arm as per a TSB.
