My new toy.

No arty pic I am afraid just a proud dad wanting to show off his new D4
Having owned 7 Range Rovers (classics), 2 defenders, a freelannder Andy ow on my 4th Discovery, I have to say I honestly believe this is the best all round vehicle LR have evebuilt and by far the best I have ever owned. Combine that with (currently 40.5 mpg) economy.....I am one happy dad.
Just wanted to share it.
Ps....keep up the great site guys. A real must for any Disco owner!

Update......end of the week and just checked again.... 40.7

Unbelievable I know

Here is how

Monday to Friday Evesham to Quedgeley (Gloucester) 33.6 miles each way.
Evesham to Junction 9 M5 along A46 mix of 30, 40, 50 and national speed limits sticking to the speed limit using cruise when possible.
Junction 9 to junction 12 on M5 travelling on cruise control set at 56mph
Then last 3 miles 30mph speed limit and sticking to it.

Yes 40mpg is genuinely possible.

Even at 70 on the motorway last week she returned 35 average over my week

Yes I know I’m a sad boring bunny. But when you get paid to drive on blue lights for your day job and can exceed the speed limit (when needed) in someone else’s vehicle, not paying for fuel etc and within the law, there is a certain perverse pleasure in seeing just how good you can make the fuel consumption in a D4.
