The 18's are going well,
The rubbing has stopped a bit, I'm not sure what the 17's are like so I can't compare them.
I find the 18's ok for road use tho a little noisy.
I don't use them all the time as I have noticed a big drop in fuel economy.
They're great off rd and seem to grip well for a large tyre.

Thanks Chris
So is this the best choice for an 18" tyre, given that I have another spare set of 18" wheels with Wranglers, or do I give up on the idea of 18's and buy a set of 17's+STT's Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

the TP's are vehicle specific, not tYre specific - have a play around though, a couple of psi either way will affect the 'feel' and tyre wear, get it to the point where you're comfortable with the balance
Checked my pressures this morning... Random isn't the word.

That could explain the strange handling...

that'd do it alright
As I found in Morocco (whilst that tw@t in the V8 was trying to run me off the side of a mountain pass ) the DSC does make a good substitute for TPMS

Sorry if off topic (well just a little!), I need to replace x 3 tyres. Currently on Scorpions, what's the best way to purchase. Mobile operator or large chain. The last time I used my local dealer and found the service poor. Any suggestions for the south bucks area much appreciated guys.

Had the misfortune to puncture and wreck an 18" Scorpion. Bought a new one for £125 fitted / balanced / new valve from Micheldever tyres ( 01962 774437) nr Basingstoke. Might be too far gor you to travel.
Have used them for years and the service is excellent. Depending on the time of visit may have to wait a while.

Hi Retired,
Thanks for that info. It's not too expensive when I had been given 3 x £176 for a local option.
Cheers

I got mine for £94 from Headley Tyres, between Newbury and Basingstoke.

I'm going to have to be careful though, if I win these I'll be up to 15 wheels for one car. Probably not as many as DSL though
