The update is $199 for the D4 and $295 for the D3
How do they justify the huge price difference for the same data?D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.
I just got V20 for my D3. Wasnt sure it had loaded as it did not do anything, screens just stayed the same.
Though going through the maps now I can see new streets and features such as the clem 7 tunnels etc here in brissy.
Still it is a lot of $$$ for a bloody DVD update!!

Just replaced V10 with V20. No change in functionality but glad to have all the new roads here in Melbourne such as Peninsular & Eastwest Links on screen. Expensive but worth it as I hate aftermarket clutter around the dash.

Hi all,
Any news on the latest update disc:
Australia 20/9 HDD Update (Australian Customers) WISLANDROVHDDKIT4.04-20/9
I can't believe we have to pay for it and it's not done as part of a service!!
Had a LOT of hassle with the new major freeway that bypasses Maitland when heading East on the Golden Highway to get to Nelson Bay.
Also, I don't know if it's the route finding but going from Mowbray Rd in Willoughby to North Sydney CBD the BLOODY thing took me over the Harbour bridge and then had me go around a couple of city blocks to recross the bridge and turn left into North Sydney (rather than down the Warringah freeway and off at Falcon st)!
I assume an update will NOT fix this?
Peterregards

I understand that your Land Rover dealer can do the upgrade for you. Sadly not every thing is free

Nope.
I just had my car in for service and LR said that I had to get the updates from Whereis.com.au and NOT from them.
ADDIT: sadly, a lot of things are not included in the purchase price (not meaning LR products specifically) like upgrades during warranty and the standard now is one of how to get the customer to pay more money regards
Peter

Morally I would have no problem installing a hacked disc. LR have ceased support so it is up to you to update. If you start with licensed set of maps (not necessarily from Whereis, there is no legal reason not to.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
