New HSE owner soon!

Hi guys and gals! Having been lurking on this site for some time now and having read the good and the bad I am taking the plunge this week on a new HSE. Very exciting stuff indeed...

Just wanted to ask a quick question of you knowledgeable people here if I may. When I took the car for a test drive it was allot more bumpy and I could hear quite a bit of road noise coming into the cabin...

From what I hear on here the cars should be very quiet? The demo car had 20" wheels fitted to it and looked a bit tricked out. Would these tires be the reason for the bumpy ride and road noise? I am intending o taking the car across Europe this summer and would like a nice smooth ride for the kids and the 'boss' Smile

Thanks,

C

I suspect that would be the reason. I have 19's as standard and they are quiet.

I totally loved the car so will be buying it regardless, but I do hope it gets quieter Smile

Thanks,

NEW HSE

Hi Catch
I have had my HSE (Same colour as yours with towbar and sidesteps) for four weeks it is very quiet and smooth and a superb car. It is the best car I have ever had and a joy to tour in, I am sure you will be happy and that you have made the right choice.
Good luck.

Hi, I've had mine for a month now and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever about noise!
Mine's an 07 MY HSE in Stornaway with alpaca leather.

Hi there, great choice, I'm sure you will be happy with your decision. I have a number of luxury cars and for the money the ride and refinement with the discovery is very good.

Only thing though, it is a shame there is no Vogue option for the extra little bits that would polish the car even more, such as heated steering wheel, piped leathers, and real wood dash as in the RRover.

Hi Slimer, sorry but Your last message is a little scrambled, are you on the vino?, anyway, If you want a top class 7 seater, what do you have?

R class merc, 6 seats, luxurious but horrible and bulky to drive, Landcruiser, Shogun, Pathfinder, Merc ML even.....all glorified vans.

Spec up the D3 to include more luxuries, I.e. Vogue spec, you have almost the perfect go anywhere vehicle. 8)
