New HSE on order today.

I never thought much of SUV's until I bought a 1996 Discovery1 V8 as a fun car, this summer. I love to drive it, and even took it on holiday to Italy and France (see avatar) and if the mileage weren't so bad I would drive it daily.
Now that it is time to replace my current daily driver (Volvo S80 2.5t), I was much in doubt whether to get a new S80 and keep the Disco1 or get rid of the S80 and the Disco1 and go for a new Disco3. After a long test drive and much reading on this forum I decided to go for the latter.
Today I ordered an HSE, Stornaway Grey, Ebony interior. Delivery time would be between 2 and 4 months. Can't wait for permagrin

Congratulations you have chosen wisely.

Your avatar shows a D1 on a break down truck, I take it that it did not make it back from holidays under its own steam! Wink

A great way to save fuel, especially in a V8

It did. Arriving at the Col de La Persche (1678 m alt.) in the Eastern Pyrenees, A CV-joint broke. It took only two days to get it fixed in a small Spanish local garage which was specialised in Santana's.
