New fuel filter required ? |
|
On return trip from Bosnia, may have picked up some dirty fuel. Symptom - On applying power to overtake, go uphill etc, Bong, loss of power, christmas lights, System Engine fault! Limp to hard shoulder, turn everything off, wait, restart engine evrything fine for another couple of hundred kms. Accelerate hard to overtake, Bong ...etc. Happened 5 times in all.
My little diag. box reports DTC codes P000E and P2290. Was thinking EGR until I read on here that P2290 is lack of fuel supply to an injector, possibly blockage in filter.
Anyone know where I can translate DTCs ?
D3 due for immediate service. Is fuel filter covered under waaranty ?
Thanks in advance. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Try checking if you have water in the bottom of the filtre.
The SA area has some instructions on how to do this. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
