Hands up who honestly thinks that the French will give up their citizens who commit offences abroad. They will probably be too buisy supporting protests about restricting lamb imports etc to play by the (obviously optional) EU rules. Again.
The good old UK will however doubtless spend a load of taxpayers cash to bolster French finances, because we do play by the rules. Don't mention railay rolling stock whatever you do. CGA

I don't see a problem with it and about time too, if you break the law you deserve to be dealt with accordingly, too many takers on our roads in foreign registered vehicles, at least we can chase these people now and perhaps make them think twice about avoiding the law of our land
We are one big family now in Europe, and everything should be equal, now what about the extortionate phone charges whilst in other countries

This has been on the agenda for at least a couple of years BUT as yet the UK government have not ratified this new law - but they may do at some time, I think the problem lies around the area of who will enforce these foreign obtained fines, as I understand it the government are reluctant to involve existing systems. … I was thinking of starting a car hire business with all the vehicles registered abroad (Ideally on Arab plates). These are known in London as "freedom" plates and loads of people seem to be doing it now!
