New Disco 4 on Order
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site but after extensive research on here for what specs to get I've finally got around to ordering my new Disco:
Disco 4 HSE
Bali Blue
Almond Interior (even though the catalogue says ebony only), I think the brochure is out of date
Privacy Glass
Full Size Spare
Tow bar
Adaptive lights
Side protection tubes
Thanks for all the great info on here and I'll post some picks once collected. The build date is 21st April so I'll be interested to see how close to this they actually are.
Regards,
Matt

Just had confirmation from the dealer that the D4 was completed yesterday as promised. By the time the dealer gets it and does their bits and then I get up to Peterborough to collect it I will be looking at collecting week commencing 10th May.
The wait is nearly over!

Yours sounds nice, we'll look forward to seeing the pictures!
P.S. Although the brochure and configurator appear to imply that certain colour combinations are 'Recommended' and others are either a 'Designers Choice' (how curious!) or 'Not Recommended', it isn't stated that the 'Not Recommended' options are not permitted!
You should see some of the hideous colour combinations that Porsche let go out of the factory. Speed Yellow with Nephrite Green seats and walnut trim would certainly fall under the 'Not Reccomended' category in my book!
Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated

Picked up the car yestarday and it looks fantastic. The Bali Blue and almond look great together. Had a really nice drive home and dropped in to see a few people as well. Total journey on day 1 = 233 miles and I loved every minute of it.
Needless to day, by the time I got home it wasn't great light for taking photos.
I will post some up later this week.

sbell,
The almond wasn't any extra, they just have it listed as not available. Apparently you can only have almond/nutmeg and not almond /arabica but of course the catalogues only list ebony. I think the dealers have another matrix available to them but mine only found out after further enquiries.

Just got back from Salisbury Plain so took the opportunity to take some photos in the sunshine.
Plenty more in the gallery.

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I reckon the Porsche combination looks great, but can't beat the open topped Carrera 4S I saw on my last factory visit to Stuttgart (Special Equipment) where the interior was finished in an amazing cow hide shipped over from a Texans cattle ranch for the complete interior. Looked like sitting on a Jersey Cow!On fifth Disco since 1990. Excellent all round vehicles.
