Hi AD15,
I am afraid its just a usual single exhaust, the Twins boxes are to look like twin exhausts....All for Vanity!!!!

Problem is my GS only has horn buttons on the existing wheel with no cruise or Radio controls ,so I guess I can only use a basic Leather wheel??

Nope the switches can be added to any wheel and come as complete insert panels with horn buttons, it's an easy and worthwhile upgrade 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Plain horn buttons you have now are easily removed and replaced with ones with buttons for cruise on the left and the radio controls on the right. All the wiring is present and radio side will work instantly. Cruise control may need enabling but has been known to work out of the box. Enabling can be done by someone like wiggs with the faultmate or TFC with the autologic.

Wont affect your Remap at all it just alters the CCF file in the car. Other things can be enabled at the same time such as keyfob activated reversing lights and 4x4 off road sat-nav if you have it fitted.

Hiya K2mut
welcome to the club
for sure a few quid invested with TLO (look him up) will sort out a really nice late smooth leather steering wheel at the best possible price, that will definately transform the feel of what looks like a really magnificent example,
It sure did mine and so from experience i know you won't ever look back.
I have had mine on for months and still i cant stop touching and stroking it.
or perhaps i am just perverted and like the feel of smooth leather
Switches on the wheel are also an easy and cheap enough fit too, while you are at it and if the extra buttons don't work straight away, don't worry, this is really the one and only site that can help you get that sorted.
In fact when it comes to technical wizardry with the D3 this site really does have it covered like absolutely no other and i personally am most proud to be associated with it.
You may have noticed that i am myself a sponsor and my sig will tell you what we do, so hopefully you can appreciate that you are most definately in the right place to get all the help and advice you will ever need to elevate what from your pics is a really nice D3 into a really great one.
Again i therfore, on behalf of the board, welcome you aboard
