Clearly we all have our own opinion, however don't forget that when the Discovery 3 was launched there were a lot of people who hated it, me included. When I saw one on the road before it was launched I though Land Rover were building a van, I was very upset when it turned out to be a Discovery!
Then, here we are 11 years later and I absolutely love my Discovery 4, it's the best car I have ever had, and I love it's looks, which are practically the same as that 'van' that I saw back around 2005.
It will be interesting to see what people think when the post launch comment has died down and they are being seen fairly regularly on the roads, these things often take time to grow on people. My prediction is that they will sell more in their first 5 years than the D4 did in its last 5.
Remember, the aim of JLR is to build cars that appeal to people and that they will sell lots of. I don't think the new D5 will turn out to be the white elephant the Land Rover range.2012 - 8 Speed D4 HSE in Indus Silver with surround cameras, adaptive headlamps, privacy glass, rear entertainment, 20" alloys.

yep seen it ,drove it for 10 days , just looks to much like , a baby range rover ,evoque .
nice drive but looks ,where as the D3 D4 has their own identity
the new disco looks like a baby RR Evoque? Are you sure you are talking about the new Discovery? Even a Discovery sport couldn't be described as a baby Evoque...could it? As for driving it for 10 days, you must work for LR so surprised how you could describe it as a baby Evoque.

One passed me on the A34 about a week ago, had one bit of camo on the rear bumper, looked like they forgot to remove it.
Its just not the same to me and don't like it, hence bought the latest I could afford of the D4's

It seems like the reference is to a Discovery Sport here.
My wife has an Evoque, and I have a D4. The D4 is parked next to it on our drive, and as the D5 is even longer and wider than a D4, I think one thing it will never be called is 'baby' or 'evoque'.2012 - 8 Speed D4 HSE in Indus Silver with surround cameras, adaptive headlamps, privacy glass, rear entertainment, 20" alloys.
