New to me D4
The forum has cost me some more money, here is my new to me D4 XS. Only thing I've done so far is change to some all terrain tyres and have had a couple of cosmetic bits done. They only had the white lettered tyres in stock so shut my eyes and went for it, ashamed to say I quite like the look!

The gap iid showed the secondary turbo pressure sensor was faulty which I believe I've confirmed beyond reasonable doubt so will use the D3 until the new one comes.
Thinking of adding some tree sliders and a front bash plate at some point if anything comes up cheap enough in the classifieds.

Looks like my new to me D4, mine doesn't have the RAI on yet, but will do when I take it off the D3. I was a bit unsure about the D4 as I love the D3 ruggedness but I'm loving the D4, especially the extra power! But I think what I've learned is I need a D3 and a D4 basically! 😀Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Of course! If I won the lottery my drive would end up looking like a cross between a Land rover Museum and a dealership!Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

There's been an L322 4.4 TDV8 at a local garage for a while, I put off going to see it as there's no way I can sensibly afford to buy and look after it but it does look lovely. Maybe one day! The practicality of the Disco wins hands down too as we do use the 7 seats a bit.
Funnily enough driving them back to back there is alot to be said for the more rugged D3, it feels much more connected to you. As I can only have one car the more modern D4 suits what I want from it as a daily come adventure toy but the D3 certainly has charm.

I needed the Euro 6 rating on my 2016 D4 but I did look rather longingly at the G4 D3 the dealer also had on the forecourt.
And the D4 just won against a year newer but £4k more expensive RR Sport so we all have similar aspirations.
My granddaughters go to a private school and come pickup time the car park is like a Land Rover car lot, various flavours of Range Rovers and a number of pretend Discoverys (D5 Sport). One of the nicest things that appears during the summer though is an absolutely mint original Mini Cooper in BR Green with a white roofA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
