All,
First of all let me say what a great site this is.
I popped in to my local dealer at the weekend to get an idea of trade in prices for my current TD5 GS.
To cut a long story very short a couple of hours later the ink was drying on the order form for a new silver TDV6S.
Dealer gave me a truly spectacular deal (March may not be going too well for this dealership at the moment!).
Anyway I should be picking the car up next week and will let you all know how it goes. Nara Bronze MY2011 Discovery 4

Excellent and well done. Are you in the UK? I thought deals were a bit thin on the ground at the moment, but I stand to be corrected.

Congrats, a great choice. I'd have gone for the S but they couldn't retrofit a few things that we really needed. Tell us about your colour combination and any extras you've gone for.
I drove a D2 diesel as a loaner when the D3 went in for some faults and I couldn't believe the difference. I don't want to upset D2 owners but OMG .
Your going to have a great time in the D3, believe me, like all your birthday's at once . 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine

I have had 2 D2's over the last 3 years, the first was an early one T-reg. In my opinion this was much more civilised than the updated 2002MY with the face-lifted lights etc.
When my car went in for a service recently the dealership lent me a TDV6 and I could not believe the difference!
I thought the D2 was quite refined up until that point and so a move to the D3 was inevitable!
I have gone for Zambesi Silver as I do a lot of motorway driving and although Land Rovers look good with mud on them the same can't be said for salt and dirty water!
Interior is black cloth.
I would have loved to go to the SE to get the sat-nav and leather but the bank manager would not have been to happy!
I was looking at getting the Bluetooth phone system fitted later in the year but after reading some of the reports that may have to wait.
Finally does anyone know if I will get a GPS signal with the heated front secreen? Nara Bronze MY2011 Discovery 4

Good sales ploy by the dealer - lend out D3's to D2 owners!
(just wait a couple of years and they will be lending D3 owners a Range Sport courtesy car)

I thought lending a D2 to a D3 owner was inspired too....I really really appreciated getting my car back so it keeps pesky D3 owners and their lists of niggles at bay . 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine

New Arrival - roof bar problem |
|
This is a great site. My TD6 SE arrived today and she is a beaty (Tonga/Alpaca or whatever it's called). The Sat Nav is the DB's and the car overall is worth every penny.
I can't get the roof bars off though - any ideas?

In my Disco 2 with heated front screen, I cant get my tom tomto go to work. I attach it to the sun roof although there is an external aerial you can get.
I just brought a D3 HSE with phone kit, seat covers , rubber mats and side body mouldings for 41K, the garage gave me 14K in part x for my TD5 Y 2001 ES auto (Import) average condition few little dings 50K miles . I would be interested to know what deal you managed to strike. I am not good at haggling but service was excellent and they sourced the car soI only wait 10 days from buying to delivery

I have put a deposit down this week on an HSE in Tonga green with Tundra interior, which I think is a great combination. My local dealer managed to find one 'in the system' which will be available in about two weeks time, and we agreed £40,700 all in. Can't wait to get my hands on it now! Any advice on worthwhile extras? I will be getting a towbar and side-rubbing strips anyway.

Stingray - was that a LR dealer giving a discount on a UK car? - only 3/4 months ago they were claiming this would be impossible on an alleged 5% margin!

My parents got a deal on a pre registered 05 SE auto with premium sat nav, tow bar and mats £36K, the dealer had an HSE, with light guards, running boards and privacy glass for £42K. They also got a good trade in on their ES S2. It was at the end of the quarter and this is always the time to get a deal - except when I buy one!!! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

It's a UK car from an official UK dealer. Should be delivered from LR in a week or so, therefore 'factory fresh'.
