New Compressor needed on D4. |
|
Hi everyone, I’ve looked at the numerous related posts but need an idiots guide.
I need a new compressor and have been quoted £820 for a LR part and £460
For an OEM one. Are the OEM ones that bad?
I’m getting different opinions from different specialist LR garages.
I have a 2010 D4 3.0 which rarely goes off road.
Thanks
Dan

So haveing faced a similar dilemma recently further complicated by Warranty Wise not want to pay for the LR compressor.
In the end I went for the genuine once and paid the difference between OEM and genuine. Part of my logic was tha my L322 has a replacement Dunlop compressor fitted and it doesn’t seem as good as the genuine one.

Personally, I'd go OEM. There is a significant markup on the LR badging of parts. You get a lifetime warranty with the Advanced Factors one so it seems to offer some peace of mind too?
