Hi all, I am new to this forum, just a quick message to say hi to you all.
I am considering buying a disco3, and found a good deal on new-car-discount.com.
price wise, they are fantastic, they even out did my newcastle dealer on my part ex by 1000 quid.
But i am worried, does anyone have any experience dealing with them? are they reputable?
One thing I am slightly worried is that the vehicle registration issue (I’ve heard most vehicle they sell is pre-registered in large quantity in order to get big discount, but these vehicles can't change the ownership until the vehicle is about 6 month old, so if something happens, i'll not be the registerred keeper ). Is that true?
Any advice appreciated. Cheers

My HSE was only £300 more than there's and I bought from a main dealer. Shop around now for delivery before the end of the month and you should get a good deal provided you can meet the end of quater deadline to help them meet their targets. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

You should be able to get that discount from a LR dealer. I got nearly £3,800 discount on a new HSE. Matt

Rossleigh in Newcastle didn't give me any discount, and add to insult, they gave me the lowest Part Ex for my current car. Disco3 S they sell at £32,040 which is the list price anyway, and new-car-discount.com do them for £29,218, plus Rossleigh gave me almost 500 quid lower in part ex compared with new-car-discount.
so that's a £3322 difference.
has anyone used the new-car-discount outfit before here?

No, almost did as they were cheap but I didn't like the sound of the registration document thing, used Motorlogix in the end, no document hassles, just as price competitive and very helpful.
No part ex though.
Good Luck NOW SOLD: 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Zermatt silver with Alpaca Leather

I would push the dealer too ....do it at the end of the month when they are trying to achieve or beat their sales targets - they tend to be even more forthcoming with any discount then
You should be able to achieve up to £4k off an 'S' and above......and also consider how easy it is to deal with a .com provider if the wheel comes off after delivery (excuse the pun) in comparison to a dealership 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

the pre-reg for six months thingy, is all down in some form to lease/rental fleet type thing that allows for the VAT to be reclaimed in some form I think. I don't know the details however but if it's the full amount then that means then it's not as good a deal as it looks maybe?[/quote] and theeeeennn......???
